چکیده

Recognition by Contrast-Enhanced, Three-Dimensional Magnetic Resonance Angiography To the Editor: The magnetic resonance angiogram of the left hand shown by Wiesmann et al1 is an incomplete display of the arteries that is further confounded by venous contamination. From this image, one cannot conclude that “there is no evidence of vasculitis or arterial stenosis or occlusion.” Spatial resolution of a fraction of a millimeter is required to diagnose vasculitis in the hand. Only conventional angiography, usually with intraarterial vasodilators, provides the required spatial resolution.

Three-Dimensional Dynamic Subtraction Contrast Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Angiography of the peripheral arteries--an initial experience.

This is a prospective study with the objective of comparing Three Dimensional (3D) Dynamic Subtraction Contrast Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Angiography (3DDSCEMRA) with Conventional Catheter Arteriography (CCA) as the gold standard, in the diagnosis of peripheral occlusive disease. Three patients scheduled for CCA in this hospital in between September and October 2000 were included in this stud...

Use of Parallel Imaging in Peripheral Contrast-enhanced Magnetic Resonance Angiography: Retrospective Study

Objective: To evaluate the application of a parallel imaging technique — generalised autocalibrating partially parallel acquisition — in peripheral contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance angiography. Patients and Methods: This was a retrospective review of 17 consecutive patients with peripheral vascular disease who underwent lower-extremity 3-dimensional contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance angi...

Effect of Bias in Contrast Agent Concentration Measurement on Estimated Pharmacokinetic Parameters in Brain Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging Studies

Introduction: Pharmacokinetic (PK) modeling of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) is widely applied in tumor diagnosis and treatment evaluation. Precision analysis of the estimated PK parameters is essential when they are used as a measure for therapy evaluation or treatment planning. In this study, the accuracy of PK parameters in brain DCE...

Non-contrast-enhanced peripheral angiography using a sliding interleaved cylinder acquisition.

PURPOSE To develop a new sequence for non-contrast-enhanced peripheral angiography using a sliding interleaved cylinder (SLINCYL) acquisition. METHODS A venous saturation pulse was incorporated into a three-dimensional magnetization-prepared balanced steady-state free precession sequence for non-contrast-enhanced peripheral angiography to improve artery-vein contrast. The SLINCYL acquisition,...

A free-breathing non-contrast-enhanced pulmonary magnetic resonance angiography at 3 Tesla.

BACKGROUND The breathhold contrast-enhanced three-dimensional magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) using T1-weighted gradient-echo imaging sequence is the standard technique for MRA of the thorax. However, this technique is not desirable for certain patients with respiratory insufficiency, serious renal impairment, or allergy to contrast agents. The objective of this study was to optimize and e...
